My New Favorite- Canvas Prints!

I'm in love with canvas wraps- they are becoming more and more popular each day. It is such a beautiful way to display your favorite photograph on your wall. Here are some shots of a recent order I did for a customer. Want one for YOUR wall? I offer them for incredibly reasonable prices (I dare you to find it cheaper!), so give me a call and let's book your photo session!

Bella Babes

It has been awhile since I posted any photos from my Bella Baby job. Many of you know I work 3-4 days a week at Good Shepherd and Northwest Hospital taking infant portraits. It is such a rewarding job- to be a part of such a special time for a family. I love chatting with the new parents while I do the shoot and sharing in their joy. Of course the best part is bringing in the slideshow and watching the parents get so emotional seeing the first pictures of their baby. Here are some of my recent favorites... hasn't "infant portraits" come a long way since you were born!!

OK- so not EVERY shoot goes perfectly- but this one looks cute even while she screams! :o)

Fun Family of Four

Yeah- another afternoon with cooperative adults!!! :) Again, no hard feelings towards the toddlers I normally photograph, but this family needed no bribing to behave! They were fantastic- open and willing to try anything. What a fun group and even more amazing?... The two teens actually get along with their parents and everyone had fun together! You all are amazing! Here is a "sneak peek" at some of my favorite photos from today (sorry, you''ll have to wait a bit longer to see the rest- still a work in progress!).

Is this a fun family or what!? :)
It was the kids who suggested some pictures of just mom and dad and I'm so glad they did. What a beautiful couple!

When we finished family shots, I stole Jamie away for a few minutes to do some "mock" senior photos (although she is a freshman!). :) She is stunning and I knew I'd get some nice samples for my website. Thanks Jamie for playing along- your smile lights up a room!

Engaged!!!

I had a blast with this couple. No offense to all my 2-year-old clients out there... but wow- adults are a tad bit easier to work with!! :) I loved helping this couple celebrate their engagement with some photos and even better, can't wait to photograph their wedding in July! I really admire them both and love the way they take marriage (not just the wedding!) seriously. Congratulations to you and thank-you for letting me take part in your day!

This couple was up for anything. When I jokingly suggested that Alyssa climb the tree for a fun shot- she actually did! The only way to get down? Climb on Jack's shoulders of course! :)
This was an extra special spot for this couple- this is where Jack first proposed! Even more meaningful- this is the path they walked every morning to school together when they were younger. Everyone now... awwwww!

A Morning Walk With Andrew and Ellie

What a treat today! I was able to photograph a dear friend's two kids who I love to death. They are both absolutely adorable and as a plus- great playmates for my kids. :) This morning though, my kids stayed home with Dad so I could spend some time behind the camera with them. We decided to take them to a cool walking path nearby and let them play while I "worked". They kept us laughing and overall it was a great morning (minus Ellie taking a head-first dive off a park bench). Good thing that was the last shot of the day! Thanks for a great morning and some great photos!!

I can't get enough of this kid's smile!!

Hooray- photos are done!!

A 5th Birthday to Remember!

I was honored to be asked to come photograph this little boy's 5th birthday. His mom is a party planner extraordinaire- down to every detail. Hayden, like most 5-year-old boys loves firetrucks- so his mom took that theme and ran with it!! She even found a company that actually brings a firetruck to your home (horn blaring!) and they let the kids climb on the truck. The fireman give the children a fire safety lesson and then lead some fireman themed games. Oh so fun! Of course they end by giving each child their own fireman hat before taking off on the firetruck again. Fun wasn't over then though... lots of goodies to eat and more games in the backyard. Something tells me Hayden won't EVER forget this perfect birthday party!

Here comes the firetruck!
Hayden gave me a little wink when he saw it coming. I swear I've never met a little boy with this much personality- love him!!

Check out the gifts! :)

This little girl was so sweet and was the lucky one who got to try on the fireman gear for everyone.
Hayden gives the fireman a "high five"!
Look Mom! I'm on a fire truck!!

Hayden gets to work at the first game.
Working hard on the relay race, these kids looked so funny trying to walk in all the heavy gear.

I couldn't resist a shot of this little boy drawing on the driveway. Oh- I just love this age!
Time for the big moment- blowing out the candles. Check out those cupcakes!! Aren't they amazing!

Want to actually enjoy your child's next birthday party and not be stuck behind the camera the whole time? Don't miss a single moment next time- give me a call and let me do the camera work! :)
