Bachman Twins Turn One!!

It is so hard to believe that my favorite twins, Katie and John, just turned one! Time sure does fly by, they've grown so quickly. I got a chance yesterday to try and get some shots of these cute one-year-olds. John was his smiley self, he is so quick to give a grin. Katie, is a whole different story, she just loves to give me her oh-so-serious stares. She is so sweet, but not easily amused by my lousy attempts to be funny. :) I was thrilled to arrive and find Joey, their older brother, totally decked out in rain gear, although there wasn't a raindrop in sight. I asked their mom if I could get some quick shots of him, and I'm so glad I did. What a cutie!! I swear this kid is ready for the cover of Parents Magazine! We ended our shoot by giving the new one-year-olds a cupcake. Katie devoured her before we could say "Go", but apparently John is watching his waist line. He refused to even take a bite and opted for some healthy cheerios instead. Oh, if only I were more like John .
Thanks Carie for an entertaining morning with your kiddos!

Sweet Baby Leah

What a privilege it was to take photos of this sweet baby girl. She is just a little over 2 weeks old and sure did capture my heart. Her parents are head over heels in love with this girl, and it isn't hard to see why. It was fun to spend the morning with her and remember the days of when my little girls were so young! Thanks Keri and Mark for being so cooperative- you guys are amazing! Enjoy the photos- they don't stay this little for long!!

Triple the Fun!

Last week I spent a wild and crazy morning with the Nortegren boys, who cracked me up. While I was setting up, Jen decided to feed the youngest his bottle. Her two older boys (ages 2 and 4) were playing quietly in the livingroom. I asked Jen from the other room, "Are they always so quiet and calm?", I was surprised that I could hardly hear them in the room next door. I quickly discovered that quiet boys often equals... trouble. I walked in to find the boys quietly stepping across the cherrios and crackers they had just dumped onto the floor. What else could we do but take out the camera and start shooting? Afterall, as Jen said, this is her life as a mom of three little boys! :)
What a treat it was to hang out with them, Jen was so laid back and is such a loving mom. And can you believe it??? One more on the way! Soon she'll be a mom of four- God has blessed this woman with an extra dose of love and patience.

A Jar of Joy

This year for Valentine's Day I was inspired (by reading Family Fun magazine) to make a class gift for Emma's teacher, Miss Brown. We all love her and wanted to let her know how much we appreciate her. So each student contributed 2 things and each parent contributed 1 thing they love about Miss Brown. Everyone had so many nice things to say- we hope it brightens her day a little and makes this Valentine's Day extra special. Below is Emma showing off our class gift.

Looking for an Awesome Auction Basket??

Emma's school is holding a silent auction coming up this month. I put together an auction basket for the school that included a free portrait sitting, photo cube (that will be personalized with the winner's photos), a CD to hold all their session's images, and a 5x7 frame. If you have an auction coming up and are looking for another item, let me know, I just may be interested in contributing!
Here is a picture of the basket. :)
