My Funny Bunnies

Yesterday the girls decided they'd like to spend their afternoon playing "dress-up", a pretty common occurrence around here. It was then I realized that although they play dress-up nearly daily, I hadn't actually gotten any pictures of them all dolled up. They were very excited that I pulled out my camera and glad they could serve as my models for the day. However, soon Emma realized she could get away with charging a modeling fee, so Carlos paid them each a dollar. I loved a few of the shots, so it was a dollar well spent. :) Seriously... is there anything better than girls in pink sequins and painted nails? I think not. While they were in the picture taking mood, I took advantage of their cute footsies and experimented with a fun "foot shot". They thought it was pretty funny that I was asking their feet to smile pretty for me while they were covered up with white blankets. All in all, I think the feet did a decent job of staying still.

Hanging With the Englemanns

I spent a wonderful afternoon at the Englemann house yesterday. We always love spending time with them, so it was nice to snap some pictures, chat for awhile, snap some more, and chat even more. Their boys are so friendly and cooperative, it was fun capturing their personalities. They even braved the snow for some fun family shots outside! Thanks Englemanns!

Nelson Family

Yesterday I packed up my things and headed to the Nelson home. I got some beautiful shots of Kelly last week (see below in "sugar and spice") so I was thrilled to get to take pictures of the whole family. The girls were more than happy to sit for me- so long as they weren't together! I was still happy to capture their beautiful personalities, even if it was individually. :)

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Can you believe how adorable this little girl is? I swear I was drooling over her!! This is Kelly, a "baby" that I watched in my in-home daycare last year. I got her when she was just 10 weeks old and I can't believe she turned 1-year-old last month. I had the pleasure of getting her all to myself on Monday and of course took that opportunity to snap some pictures. What a beauty!

Suderman Family

I had a blast with this family today- their kids cracked me up the whole time. Their daughter, Libby, is Isabel's age and they are good buddies at our church, so it was fun spending the afternoon with her. Libby is full of spunk and it comes through in her photos. We had some semi-warm temperatures for December in Chicago, so I was THRILLED to get Libby and Aaron outside for just few minutes. I've been dying to get outside for photos because I like the light so much better, so this was a treat. Everyone was great sports today and I think I smiled even more than they did. Thanks Sudermans!!

The Peplinski Clan

I was honored to take THE Christmas photo for this family today- they did a great job, even the little dog, Sunshine. Heather is an amazing friend so I was excited to get some shots of her whole family and her two cuties, Sam and Emma. Although they thought it was "gross" to have to take some pictures together they cooperated enough for me to grab a couple nice photos. :0) Thanks Peplinski family!!

Sam and her cuties

My friend Sam brought over her niece and two nephews today to try and get some nice pictures for their mom. They could not have been cuter, their eyes were gorgeous! The oldest two were such pros, smiled right on cue. The youngest was quick to tell me he didn't know how to smile (with quite a serious face), but that didn't seem to matter. Smile or no smile, this kid is adorable. I even convinced Sam to let me get a few shots of her- she is so pretty, I knew the camera would love her. Thanks Sam!!

Radiant in Red

Isabel wanted me to get some pictures of her in her new red Christmas dress and of course I was happy to snap away. :) She always does such a nice job for me and turns it on for the camera. I don't think Santa will be able to resist these pretty brown eyes, looks like she'll have a full stocking this year.

Snow Angel

After running some quick errands with Isabel today, she was excited to try out her new snow boots (Princess, of course). So we headed out to the front yard and as usual my camera came along too. I got a couple nice shots from my snow angel.

When In Rome...

This past weekend I had a great time in Rome! Ok... so maybe it wasn't Rome, Italy but it was Rome, Georgia and I swear it was just a beautiful. I was excited to get my cousin Megan and her boyfriend, Chris, to let me take some pictures of them. They are such a cute couple and kept me laughing the whole time. Chris, a California boy, wasn't too sure of being outside in 40 degree temps, but he braved the cold for me. Thanks Megan and Chris! Hope you like what we got!

Blue Eyed Beauties!

What a great morning I had with these beautiful kids! My friend Melissa offered up her kids to hopefully get some nice photos for her Christmas cards. They did a great job- Andrew was especially excited to get dressed up and be my model. Ellie quickly she decided she would cooperate when she realized that sitting still and looking at me= M&M's. She would hear the click of my camera and jump down to grab her reward.
This is when bribery is worth it, right Melissa? :) Thanks to the Wise family!!

Adorable Gymnast

What a morning I had yesterday! My great friend, Stacey, asked if I could get just a few pictures for a contest she wanted to enter her daughter in. Her daughter is GORGEOUS with or without a nice camera, so I was really excited to get some shots of her. We made a tiny mistake by taking the pictures in a toy room, and the toys were calling Kaley's name most of the morning. However, we still got some pretty pictures of this little gymnast. Her smile lit up the room, no need for flash for her! Thanks Stacey for letting me take these!

My gorgeous niece

We spent Thanksgiving with Carlos' family and one extra special treat was getting to have the day with my niece and nephew. Alana was excited to try out some modeling for her aunt and her new camera. She did a fantastic job, quite the natural. However, I'm not sure how excited her dad was about his "little girl" looking quite so grown up. :)
