My gorgeous niece

We spent Thanksgiving with Carlos' family and one extra special treat was getting to have the day with my niece and nephew. Alana was excited to try out some modeling for her aunt and her new camera. She did a fantastic job, quite the natural. However, I'm not sure how excited her dad was about his "little girl" looking quite so grown up. :)

Welcome Caleb Kenneth Strauss!

I was thrilled to get to spend my afternoon with my friend Sara and their newest addition to their family, Caleb. Just 7 days old, he was certainly my youngest model yet. :) He was so good, what a joy to work with. I can't wait to take many more photos of this guy as he grows!

Dynamic Duo!

I was so excited to get to take pictures of this little boy- he has personality pouring out of him! His mom is one of my very best friends and so I was honored I could take pictures of them together. I don't know a better mom around, so I was glad to capture some of their sweet interactions.

Tuesdays with Twins

I've been helping out a dear friend of mine by watching her twins on Tuesdays. They are now 9 months old and are incredibly sweet. Although I didn't have any success getting photos of them together today (they were napping on opposite schedules), I did love a couple shots in particular. John is the most smiley baby, he was a piece of cake. Katie gave me a run for my money because she can crawl... fast! I had to be quick to snap her, but wow is she cute! I guess there is always next Tuesday for the group portrait. :)

Sweet Baby Nathan

I had the privilege of spending the morning with this adorable baby boy. His parents are good friends of ours and they were extra kind to let me use their baby for my first infant photo shoot. He did great and put up with me pretty well! Congrats Jen and Nick on this perfect little boy!

A day out with Emma

Today Emma served as my very first model. We found some perfect little spots to take some outside shots around Lake Zurich. She loved the one-on-one attention from Mom and thinks she may be ready for her first paid modeling job. :0)
